Yay for SUMMER!! Barbecues, celebrations, and parties galore! While having fun is necessary for a joyous, healthy & vibrant life ( and relaxation!), but over-indulging can cause more harm than good.
It’s important to stay mindful and prioritize your self-care during these busy months, so you are able to stay balanced, aligned, and feeling AMAZING every single day!
These 3 simple practices will help you to stay mindful & balanced, all while having FUN!
Carry a re-fillable Water Bottle with you wherever you go, and sip on it regularly throughout your day. You can set a timer for every 30-60 minutes to remind yourself to take a few big sips, or drink right before you start a new task, and then again when you’ve finished it. Aim for 1/2 of your bodyweight in ounces each day for optimal hydration.
If you like flavored water, or are you are looking for an alternative to sugary drinks like sodas or gatorades, I highly recommend this clean electrolyte supplement that has a refreshing taste of Lemon & Lime and helps you bounce back if you’re feeling sluggish! Yummy Hydration !
This may sound obvious, but how often are you REALLY consciously breathing?? It’s an automatic body function, yes, but breathing with awareness is a really powerful way to center yourself and show yourself some love in an instant!
One of my favorite breathing techniques is a 4-4-4 breath.
Inhale for a count of 4, Hold for a count of 4, Exhale for a count of 4. ( repeat 3-6 times)
Every time you take a bathroom break, make it a breathing break too! You’ll feel fully recharged, calm, yet energized right way!
It’s easy to get caught up in all the “not-so-good-for-me” treats of the season, but planning to have clean options to prepare will make it easier for you to stay mindful and high vibe! Have healthy choices on hand in your fridge & pantry, and prepare a nutritious dish to take with you when you’re heading to a gathering. These little habits will add up to a big impact over time 🙂

Red White, and Blue Cheesecake Fat Bombs
These are a super fun 4th of July treat, but absolutely can be made any time of the year when you need a sweet treat. These do take a little longer to prepare than most fat bombs because theyre done in layers, but it’s worth it for how they look and taste. So yummy
For Strawberry Base:
8 oz Go Veggie cream cheese
1 T water
For Cheesecake Middle Layer:8 oz. Go Veggie cream cheese y2 c butter melted
1 T monk fruit or Swerve sweetener1 T vanilla extract y4 c coconut oil
Freeze for 15-30 minutes
For Blueberry Top Layer ye c coconut oil
1 container blueberries
1 T Swerve sweetener or monk fruit
Mix all ingredients for strawberry base and put in silicon 12 or 24 section muffin tray & freeze for 15-30 minutes
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the butter and cream cheese and mix with an electric mixer until combined.
Add the vanilla extract, Swerve, and coconut oil & mix again until combined
Grab your silicon cupcake tray from the freezer and smooth cheesecake on top of base layer
Freeze for 15-30 minutes
Mix all ingredients for the blueberry top layer and smooth the blueberry top layer flat with a small teaspoon
Place in freezer for up to 4 hours until all ingredients are hard
They will pop out easily using a silicon muffin tray and look beautiful
Roasted Veggies with Avocado Dressing
This dish will be a hit any where you take it……especially in your own home. It’s so easy and so versatile. You can use any vegies you have on hand. I make this a lot when I look in my fridge and find one or two Pieces of a veggie left over. Maybe one red pepper or just a small amount of broccoli & add an onion and some zucchini and you have an entire tray of roasted veggies. But, this avocado dressing is what’s really going to WOW your guest & you! It’s creamy and healthy. Our neighbor fell in love with it after his first try and, I kid you not, EVERY SINGLE time I see him he asks about this dressing. He’s OBSESSED!!!
2-4 T oregano
1/2 c olive oil
Pink sea salt and pepper to taste (the more the better on these veggies.
Fresh veggies of choice. (I use onions, peppers,zucchini cauliflower and/or broccoli)
Heat oven to425°
Chop all veggies and put on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet
Cover with olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano
Bake 20 minutes and stir veggies
Bake an additional 15-20 minutes if needed
1/4 c olive or avocado oil
1-2 cloves garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
Directions: add all ingredients to a nutribullet or blender and blend until creamy.
